Local link supports Thrive launch
We have been delighted to see our local Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in school promoting our new Friary 'Thrive' Ambassador roles.
Friary Thrive Ambassadors will be student volunteers who promote all things wellbeing across the school. This will include awareness campaigns, collecting student voice, supporting focus weeks and assemblies. It is a brilliant opportunity not only to encourage student leadership amongst Key Stage 3 students, but for students to work with Lichfield's MHST and gain experience in partnership working.
Once students have gone through an initial selection process, they will participate in training delivered by the Mental Health Support Team. The Thrive Ambassadors will then meet regularly to discuss how we can run a range of pupil led well-being initiatives in school throughout the year.
Pictured (below left) is Samantha, our primary Education Mental Health Practitioner. There will also sometimes be an Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner in school, offering non-clinical support.
