Our Y6-Y7 Transition Evening saw excellent attendance and the first such event since 2019 was well-received by staff too.
The evening started with a presentation by the Headteacher laying out how the school operates and where parents had a role within that.
Subsequently, parents broke off into House groups and met with their child’s Head of House and form tutor.
Also in attendance were the PTFA – on the look out for new members – and UniformPlus who are the main provider for school uniform who commented that the Year 6 Friary parents had been superb in coming in and getting their orders in early – something we would wholly recommend.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “It is far better when everyone gets to out faces to names and we were delighted to welcome the Y6-Y7 parents back into school. The Year 6 cohort we are receiving for September 2022 seem a fantastic bunch and, with both new and familiar faces, the parent seemed great too.”
