Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 students who took part in a football tournament at King Edwards.
15 girls all played their part in a 7-a-side football tournament against local schools with our Year 8 girls managing to take the top spot. Year 7 also held their own finishing 4th out of 8 teams.
Despite the hailstorms, the students played some great football throughout the competition with some sensational saves and brilliants goals. The attitude of all the girls on both teams was excellent and all team members helped and supported each other throughout all 5 games.
Hollie Wright, PE teacher and team coach, said: “I was overwhelmed by the exceptional team spirit of the students today. It was great to see them playing so well and their hard work rewarded.”
