Sixth Form RE and Sociology students went on a long trip to London and even cancelled trains, diversions and a subsequent midnight(ish) return did not dampen spirits of what was a great day.

It really was a whistle-stop trip as the group took in the Houses of Parliament and the Natural History Museum. They also zipped along the River Thames on a cruiser and scale the heights of the London Eye as well.

The day culminated in dinner in Covent Garden before the journey home.

Richard Barnett-Richards, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The staff and students survived a terrible journey home but we know that they got a fantastic amount out of the experience which will not only add to their course motivation and engagement, but also there confidence and independence in negotiating our capital city.”
