To support students with finding apprenticeships as part of National Apprenticeship Week, students have been sent reminders of the different apprenticeship opportunities that are available. To support students in understanding what apprenticeships are, students have been provided with a range of links to find out more about these opportunities. Alongside this please find below a letter from Alex Burghart (minister for Skills) highlighting how the number of apprenticeships available is increasing by the day.

Alex Burghart letter to families

Each week students are sent information about new apprenticeships as they become available and students who have expressed an interest in this pathway have been supported in finding, applying and enrolling onto these opportunities. Please find below links to some of the key information regarding apprenticeships.

Searching for apprenticeships near you

Faye Banks, Careers and Aspirations Coordinator, said: “There is an increasing number of students that are looking to go down apprenticeship routes. These courses offer students a continuation into higher education with the benefits of earning whilst they learn. As a school we are engaging with employers who are looking to grow their own talent and are offering apprenticeships at intermediate, advanced or higher degree level. We are actively encouraging students to search for these fantastic opportunities and provide them with support by sharing and promoting live apprenticeship vacancies with large trusted companies.”
