On Thursday 3rd February, we will be holding our extremely popular PTFA Quiz Night. Each year, the brainiest brains in Lichfield get together to pit their wits against each other and battle it out for the Friary PTFA Quizmasters trophy.
Teams of 4-6 people are invited to join us for a night of quizzing in our newly extended Sixth Form Centre. Our Quiz Master, James, will take us through an evening of challenging question rounds and you will be able to buy drinks and bar snacks from our PTFA bar. At half time, we give our brains a chance to refuel and enjoy a fish and chip tea together provided by our friends at The Fradley Fryer.
Tickets for the event cost £6.50 per person and include the cost of your fish and chip tea. These can be purchased on Parent Pay before the event. We invite people to arrive at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
All funds raised will go towards the PTFA annual fundraising target of £15,000 which is then used to help fund projects in school that directly impact on the pupils. In recent years we have been able to fund new mini buses, canteen and library refurbishments as well as funding to help support pupil events in school. This year, we are keen to use some of the funding to improve outside social areas and refurbishment of the theatre.
Our PTFA is run by an enthusiastic group of parents and staff and is a great way to get to know the school and other parents. Many of our members have made new friends and become a real part of our school community. If you would like to come along and meet us, we’d love to see you at one of our PTFA events or PTFA meetings.
