Our PTFA meeting on Monday 10 January mapped out the events on the horizon and served to highlight the fantastic group of parents who are making such a difference in our school.

There are a number of events which parents are welcome to attend including:

PTFA Quiz Night – Thursday 3 February

This event sees teams of 4-5 taking part in a quiz which sandwiches a fish’n chip supper.

The PTFA will be running the event and so other parents can attend to help or to take part in the quiz.

Battle of the Bands Show – Tuesday 15 February:

This music event sees students perform songs in a ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ format from the 2000s (with the decade changing each year).

The PTFA will be supporting with a refreshment stall at the event.

Encore Show – Wednesday 30 March to Friday 1 April:

This talent show sees a wide range of acts and runs over three nights – with the Mayor and Sheriff of Lichfield also in attendance.

The PTFA will be supporting with a bar at the event.

Stand-Up Comedy Night – Friday 5 May:

This evening includes a compere and three local comedians – several of whom have appeared in TV – coming into school to run a show.

The PTFA will be running the event and so other parents can attend to help or to simply laugh through the show.

The PTFA would welcome more parents and family members joining the group and contributing to the team.

The PTFA is working towards refurbishing the school theatre – which holds all large-scale events – and to build a school garden for gardening, seating, and potentially horticulture courses.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Every child in the school benefits hugely from the work of the PTFA and whether it be with reading books, minibuses, computers, canteens eating, stage mics, and more besides, we desperately need support to provide the best education we can. If any parent can commit to support the group then please get in touch and get involved.”
