As a warm up in preparation for tournaments to come, the U15 girls hockey team organised a friendly against their local rivals, King Edwards.

King Edwards put pressure on the Friary defence on a number of occasions scoring 3 goals in the first half. Despite the score line, the Friary team battled through and from the second half whistle made some fantastic breaks down the wing. Hannah Grimshaw and Hannah Norton took on the opposition and put them under pressure. Felicity Stephenson (Y10) was named ‘Player of the Match’ due to her outstanding contribution and persistence in defence.

Head Coach, Kim Fallows, said: ” The final score ended 4-0 to King Edwards but the girls had a tremendous second half. It was a great team effort overall.”
