As a school we work with a wide range of local agencies to prepare our students for growing up in today’s world and preparing themselves for the world of work.

One key aspect that we have rightly seen hit the headlines over the last year has been misogyny and sexual harassment, within the general theme of peer-on-peer abuse.

Working with the West Midlands Police Safer Travel Team, Year 8 – 13 students will engage with a rolling programme of assemblies which cover a range of issues surrounding the specific topic of  how students can keep themselves safe from peer on peer abuse and sexual harassment.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Our world is a rapidly changing one and we have a responsibility to ensure our students have the confidence, understanding and awareness to thrive with and respect those around them. Their lives ahead are full of opportunities but it is crucial they know their responsibilities, and understand how they are entitled to be treated too. These sessions with West Midland Police bring clear guidance and direction that will hold our student in good stead for the future.”
