This Thursday sees us welcome Year 6 parents to our Open Evening.  The event will begin at 6.00pm and will finish at 8.00pm.

All visitors will be able to walk around the school and visit each of our subject departments. Each subject area will have a range of activities for people to get involved in as well as offering an opportunity to talk with our teachers about what to expect as well as learn more about how each subject develops through each key stage.

In addition to this, there will be a talk from our Headteacher, Matt Allman, that will take place in our 300 seat theatre. During this session you will learn about the ethos, priorities and vision for our school and children. This talk will be repeated three times throughout the evening so that all visitors will get an opportunity to see it if they wish to do so.

We will also have Friary pupils helping during the evening. Some will be supporting departments with activities, whilst others will be helping to give guided tours around the school. Our PTFA will also be on hand to provide tea and coffee refreshments.

Despite Covid-19 restrictions being eased, we do recommend that facemasks are worn in the theatre and that you avoid attending if you are experiencing Covid symptoms.  We have many hand-sanitiser stations located around the building for you to use throughout your visit.

Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher, said: “It seems like such a long time since we have been able to open our doors to visitors. Moving to high school is such an important transition and we are pleased that you will be able to come and meet us in person.”
