Our Year 13 Leavers’ Assembly was a great chance for staff and students to say goodbye to each other.

During the assembly, students were shown pictures from when they were in Year 7 and photos of their teachers as children, which they found very amusing. Many awards were given to students during the assembly such as ‘Heroes of the Year’ (Jack Askew and Olivia Weir), ‘Most Improved Student’ (Rebecca Cundill), ‘Student Most Likely to Rule the World’  (Oliver Short) and the ‘Lion King Award’ (Georgia Avill and Molly Jowett). Jack Askew, Head Boy, and Olivia Weir, Head Girl gave a lovely heartfelt speech and we were treated to a musical interlude from Lily Hutt.

Carrie Cain, Head of Sixth Form, said: “We have worked closely with students for two years. During this time, it has been a privilege to see them mature and grow in confidence. We are extremely proud of how hard they have worked for their exams and are confident that this will pay off for them in the summer. We wish them every success in the future.”
