This summer break will again be a time of major refurbishment so in order to make sure rooms are cleared for re-plastering, re-paints, new carpets, new ICT facilities, etc, we will be closing on the final day at noon.

This means that we will break up for Summer at 12.00pm on Friday 20th July.

Most buses have been re-arranged – so the 810, 812, 103, 105 and 106 – will arrive at midday. Unfortunately, the 819 and 825 will not be able to run earlier so will only be available at the normal time.

Any students unable to make it home will be supervised by our Deputy Headteacher, Mr Rose, until the end of the normal school day.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The biggest barrier we have to improving our school site is that we have very tight turnarounds as any significant refurbishment has to take place during the holiday. The summer is the only big run we have and we have to be in a position to go for it on Monday 23rd July. Senior staff will be on site throughout the summer break and working to ensure everything is shipshape for the new school year.”
