The Careers Week activities have rolled into National Science & Engineering Week as we roll out our mock interviews for every Year 10 student with local business people putting out students through the wringer to prepare them for entering the workplace or Further Education.

These sessions were only the latest in a long line of employability activities which have taken place over the last fortnight and which have covered students from all year groups.

The interviews  were a great success with both sides expressing how much they enjoyed them. Indeed, amongst a glut of very positive feedback about our students, one interviewer commented: “Interviewing them (our Year 10 students) gives me hope for the future.”

Mrs Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said, “We are so grateful that these volunteers come in to give their expertise to our students. Their advice is invaluable and really gives our students a solid foundation of interview skills that they can build upon.”
