The latest addition to our extensive extra-curricular programme – see the Spring Term schedule under the Students Tab of our website – is Zorb football which has been taken up by Year 7 and Year 8 students keen to try something that little bit different.

Zorb football is hugely fun and is excellent for all round fitness. It involves dressing up in a Zorb – similar to a hamsters exercise ball – and charging around playing football. Your legs are free but the rest of you is encased in the zorb so if you do crash to the floor you are going to suffer little damage except to your pride.

Oli Forster, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We are always keen to introduce our students to new initiatives and Zorb Football was too good an opportunity to ignore. The provision is operated through our partnership with Premier Sports and the students who have signed up to it have been having a fantastic time. Any students who have not signed up can still do so.”
