The Manga Art Club regularly gets up to 25 students coming together to develop their art skills and to share creative ideas.

Manga art comes from Japanese comic books and is a clear and well-known style. The word ‘manga’ can be translated as “humorous pictures” and it has very much moved from a niche Japanese-style to the more mainstream.

Termly prizes were given out for the best examples of art-work and staff got to admire the high calibre of talent on display.

Kerry Dye, Student Support Worker, said: “Our Manga Club is a great opportunity for our students to take some time out of the mainstream curriculum and be creative in a style that they enjoy. The talent in the group is immense and it is a pleasure to meet with the students each week.”
