Mixed stories on the recent netball matches with comprehensive results going each way – but all teams actually performed very well.

Our Year 7s started their first season with a dismantling of a talented Nether Stowe team with a 19-4 victory. The Friary team operated superbly across the court – with excellent team work bringing out a tough defence, swift passing and consistent shooting.

Meanwhile, our Year 8 team faced a very strong Nether Stowe team which was littered with club and county players – losing 22-3. Even so, the team battled on, never gave up and impressed with their resilience.

Oli Forster, Assistant Headteacher, said; “Despite contrasting results, both teams played very well and have reason to be proud of themselves. We are looking forward to see the season roll out.”
