The new House system has enabled us to set up a peer mentoring system which will see students receive formal mentoring training so they are qualified to guide, coach and support their peers.

There have been a high number of volunteers for the training programme which begins next week and students will be well-equipped to deal with the role and responsibilities which come from being a peer mentor.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “One of the key reasons for our new House system was to get students working together, for each other, and we are delighted to get the peer mentoring training up-and-running. Equally, with House Captains, Vice-Captains, Charity Reps, Anti-Bullying Reps, Sports Captains, and the like, we are always keen to give our students a chance to take responsibility and lead the way.”
