The Friary fielded 2 teams in Lichfield Hockey Club’s Hockey Festival against competition including Erasmus Darwin and Lichfield Cathedral School.
Both Friary A and B teams scored 3-0 victories against Erasmus Darwin – with Tilly Farmer scoring a hat-trick.
The Friary A team was in a great position to win the tournament but disaster struck when Tilly Perryman suffered a facial injury and the under-strength 6-girl team subsequently lost out to the Cathedral team.
The girls performed outstandingly well, were certainly unfortunate, and their play bodes well for the next match against Denstone College.
