National Armed Forces Day took place across the country on Saturday 24th June and involved numerous special events and celebrations.

This day is a chance for people to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.

As part of our contribution to the events, we encouraged all students in the cadets, scouts, guides, St John’s, etc, to attend school in their uniforms.

This was not only celebrate the day but also spread awareness of the excellent clubs and organisations in our community.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We believe it is important that our students get the chance to take part in national events, especially those which celebrate and respect those who work for the greater good. Equally, those students who commit to clubs and organisations in the evenings and at the weekend deserve to be celebrated too.”
