The recent Bikeability programme was designed to support Friary students in using their bicycles safely and with due respect to motorists and pedestrians in our local community.

The final results have come in and we have seen 95 students getting the highest Level 3 qualification whilst the remaining 22 students achieved got the lower tiered pass.

The sessions were part of the school’s wider campaign to support out students in negotiating the challenges of modern life; whether it be the roads of the internet, careers or social awareness.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The PE Department have been fantastic at running this programme with the Bikeability team and it is great to know they and our community will be a good deal safer because if it. We are hoping to run the project again next year and look forward to another high pass rate this time next year.”
