As part of incentivising the students to sell PTA Raffle tickets, our PTA acquired a Segsway which became the focus of student attention over the last few weeks.
The scheme saw every book of tickets sold giving a child a free ticket in a draw to win the Segsway.
The winning student was Y11’s Anna Hill who was most deserving having also sold the most tickets !
The raffle raised just shy of £3,500 for the Friary PTA and the money has been ear-marked for the refurbishment of school facilities and new IT equipment.
The PTA have another raffle due in the Summer Term – tied into the fantastic Summer Sizzler event – as well as a string of events through the year.
