The Friary’s PTA confronted a climate akin to Elsa’s icy palace in ‘Frozen’ and, though the cold wind was at times as terrifying as her Ice Monster, they survived the experience and raised £100s for ourselves and other local charities.

Working with the superb team from Lichfield’s Round Table, the PTA team collected donations and best of all saw local youngsters rush out of their front doors to listen to Xmas songs and meet Santa on his sleigh.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “I know to wrap up better next year but it was great fun and the PTA deserve the highest possible praise for their commitment and dedication in support our school. We had 2 1/2 hours collecting funds in freezing conditions but we worked hard until the 9.00pm cut-off and know we have raised enough money to put a real dent in the costs for further up-grading out school’s ICT facilities. Our students have every reason to feel proud about their parents and the friends of the school”
